How often do you get up out of bed and head off into your day without protection from the unknown and the attacks of the enemy. Ephesians 6:10-18 encourages us to be prepared and put on the Armor of God
Sometimes, as we try to be the light during our Christian walk, we get so caught up with the irritating things that pop up and go wrong that we miss out on the journey… and on His presence.
Do you ever feel that you are somewhere between Genesis chapters 37 and 40. In the midst of circumstances that you can’t believe and would not have chosen for yourself? Is God allowing circumstances to knead you, mold you, make you into a vessel worthy of a great commission?
The circumstances around me may not always make sense, but that He plans no harm to me (Rom 8:28). I am His masterpiece (Ephesians 2:10), and I was created to do good works that He planned long ago. I am not ‘here and now’ by accident.
Sometimes we walk through what seems to be a season of trials and struggles… and it seems to stretch on and on much like a cold dark winter. But rather than fixate on the struggles, my husband and I like to ponder what God is up to.
If God cares about my washing machine, consider how much more He must care about things that are actually important in my life… health, welfare, family, children, relationships, marriage, etc.
We all have scars. We all have stories to tell. In fact, we all have circumstances that God has allowed in our lives to refine us and draw us closer to Him. Those who testify to how the Lord is working in their lives are showing that they place greater value on eternity than on today.
